Colouring In For Fun

Updated: Sep 9, 2021

I remember starting my journey to creative wellness by colouring in.

Colouring has the ability to relax the fear center of your brain known as the amygdala.

Did You Know?

It induces the same state of mind as meditating allowing the mind to rest and generate mindfulness and quietness.

Through the action of colouring in attention flows away from ourselves.

This simple act, such as colouring, helps to takes your attention away from yourself and the thoughts that are causing you to feel anxious.

Through drawing and colouring it allows you to be in the present-moment and relaxes the brain.

For me this is totally pleasurable and time can go fast whilst your enjoying being creative.

Here are a few examples of my first colouring activities.

Of course you may prefer to colour something more meaningful to you.

Colouring and drawing improves fine motor skills, encourages focus, and nurtures creativity.
