Little Bit and Often to Improve your self care by Debbie's Creative Corner

Draw a quick figure or outline of something to represent yourself it does not have to be lifelike it can be whatever you like.


Add in hair and face and using water coloured pencils draw in the coloured areas and paint with water. This is my latest medium which I like to use but any other such as crayons, normal pencils, whatever you like to use.


Add in the leaves and branches and colour the background in whichever colours you are drawn to.

Use a black market for the outlines.


Add in the spiritual symbols:

Finally wet the background areas and cover in rock salt and leave to dry. When dry adding in the words that are important to you. Here are some examples:

  • Smile

  • Love

  • Travel\Home

  • Security

  • Friends

  • Creative

  • Laugh

  • Peace

  • kind

  • Hope

  • Joy

  • Health

Optional: Finally add in any extra detail you like with coloured fine liners, markers, glitter or pens.
