Meerkat Manor - Strong Female Lead

Updated: Mar 6, 2021

A memory of facebook popped up today 5th February 2021.

This made me reflect and appreciate that my life was so different 12 years ago, as a single parent, divorced, lonely, no social life, keeping it together, struggling and desperately seeking a better life.

Started a new career with a role to balance home and work life as the main earner to support my child.

What did I do?

Remained open minded, willing to learn, though strong self belief not knowing the way my life journey would go.

An important lesson was learning to love myself........ 💕💕💙💙

Learning and practice these simple steps to gradually start loving myself more every day:

Be willing to feel pain and take responsibility for your feelings.

A deep and compassionate process of self exploration—of learning about what my own beliefs are and writing them down.

Consider others behaviour and realise you are not responsible for how they act towards you considering what is happening with a person or situation that may be causing your pain.

Recognise you have a right to feel disappointment, anger, pain and show these emotions without hiding them from view.

Learning to say no and stop being a people pleaser.

Answers come over time they may come in words or images or in dreams.

When your heart is open to learning, the answers will come.

In checking in with yourself and see if your pain, anger, and shame are getting healed.

Over time, you will discover that loving yourself improves everything in your life—your relationships, your health and well-being, your self-esteem, and leads to your ability to follow your dreams.

Remember that life is like a rollercoaster up and down, good and bad days and thats quite normal we are all human learning to live life in our own way.

Self Care - Making time for yourself without guilt you deserve to feel well.

Today 12 years later so much has changed I feel blessed, proud, happy and loved.

Following my dreams 💕💙🙏🏻💙💕

Today I am following my passion to share creative wellness with others something I could never have envisaged.

Whatever your dreaming keep going and, look out for opportunities, build friendships, stay open minded, find a mentor of life coach............... (whatever works for you)
