On Our Travels - Art At The House (Shepley)

Updated: Sep 21, 2021

ArtattheHouse held a exhibition at Cliffe House in Shepley over two days of creative, interactive experiences.

Heather & I attended on Sunday morning feeling very excited and not quite knowing what to expect.

The first stall we came across was Wendy Wall ceramics with the beautiful turquoise themed displays, decorated with nature and fairy lights which made the whole scene magical.

Receiving a warm welcome from the artists we were excited to explore out firsst "Art Exhibition" together

There were so many stalls and displays honestly didn't know where to look first.

Including painters and illustrators, jewellers, textile and glass artists, furniture makers, ceramicists, photographers and so much.

We were able to chat to the artists, find out about the materials and techniques they use and take home amazing handmade items too.

I love how it was expressed that each piece is made with love.

It would not have been possible to buy everything we saw so much choice.

The second best thing was to take away business cards and share these on a "Art of Yorkshire" specialist page to celebrate artists and small businesses.

Although it wasn't possible to add everyone I hope that as we build our adventures and visit more exhibitions this can grow.

As we always say.......
